— Featuring — The Kent Center's 2nd Annual Swing into Spring
Celebration was a great success with over 200 guests on hand to enjoy the fabulous Beantown Swing Orchestra and their incredibly talented lead singers, John Stevens and Laura Brunner. The gala event,
held on May 4th at the Crowne Plaza's Garden Pavilion, also featured swing dancers and a living statue cherry blossom tree provided by Ten31 productions.
The event, which celebrates spring as a metaphor for recovery, also raised vital funding for the programs and services of The
Kent Center, including community support programs for adults with major mental illnesses, outpatient counseling for people with
mental health and substance abuse challenges and services for children with emotional disorders or those who have experienced trauma. Special thanks to our sponsors, event planning committee, and everyone who helped to make the evening a smashing success!
